Sunday, May 29, 2005 The last entry before I bid farewell to luxury food and grudgingly greet cookhouse shitty slosh... for a week. I am forcing myself to look forward to tomorrow so that once it arrives, it will end. And I will be out of my misery. I wouldn't mind doing crappy reservist if I didn't have anything to do next week, but hell, my happiness next semester lies solely on Monday (tomorrow) and I totally hate the fact that I can't do anything about it because I have to go for the damn thing! Which reminds me, I got a letter from NSSC yesterday saying that my deferment was rejected because I was given ample notice about the ICT. Oh yes yes... but I also gave those people ample notice about my intersem! And I gave more than ample notice. I gave you people weekly notices, and yet you all didn't notice! WTF! And you people purporsely, intentionally, insidiously gave me notice just 5 days before the ICT so that (according to regulations) I cannot do anything about the outcome. Wow, how well-timed! All you sick bastards! I condemn all of you and your shrewdness! So please don't act merciful and come tell me about ample notices. I'd rather you tell that to your wives or your husbands or your same-sex partners. Tell them that they have ample bosoms. I would be happier. Really. ======= On a happier note, here're some pictures to colour my dull blog! Minlee and I went for the new NLB tour for architecture students last Thursday. Yes, for architecture students from NUS. So what was I doing there? I was there to enhance my acting skills because for the whole time I had to act like an archi student and pretend to appreciate every notch, nail, screw, wood panel, light, door handle (maybe not), and perhaps even toilet urinals. "Wow, this is soooo nice. I really like the light rays shining here to accentuate the greyness of the tables!" "Ooh, that is so cool! See the thing that is in the thing that is of the thing that is rotating? Wah... never seen that kind of thing in the thing of that thing before!" "Eh, the air-con vents look very stylo and fashionable leh!" Haha. No offense to any aspiring architects. But well, it was fun being the priviledged few to see the NLB before its grand official opening in August. ![]() I really liked this. It's in the Asian Reference library section. It uses ever-changing LED to change the background colours of the pictures. See? I actually listened to the guide! ![]() Sunken gardens in the basement of the main borrowing section. Restricted access because books are sensitive and they do not want people to bring in spores and other miniscule things that will make the books mouldy. Haha. ![]() On the 16th floor! ======= Then we met Peggy and Fred for dinner! Haven't seen Peg for soooooo long after she went to Canada! Glad she's back for the hols! ![]() At Billy Bombers... ![]() Gluttony overwhelmed us as we headed to Swensen's after Billy Bombers for dessert... ![]() I really like this group shot! ======= Okie... that's all folks! I'd better start packing my green things! Or else tomorrow morning I'll flip! Gv complained @ 5:35 PM {xoxo} |
